3. Setting up the plastic bottles

Well you can use those bottles in your own way. You can make a design on how will you grow those pechay vegetables. This way you will be creative and apply your talent in gardening.

But usually you can do two things on the bottle; you can cut it into half or you can cut just the side of the bottle, either of the two it will be totally fine.

Once cutted make some holes under the bottles using a hot rod or using a nail. The holes under will served as a drainage in order to prevent stacking up of water inside. Once done start putting some small pieces of pebbles.

Well the pebbles will help in order for the soil to not flow under. This will serve as a protection so that only few amount of soil will be going outside the bottle. Then put some loam soil inside.

Why loam soil? Well the pechay can grow well there and commonly it has a great amount of humus which is good for the plant.

4. Transplanting of seedlings

After two weeks, the pechay seedlings are ready for transplanting. To do this get your seed box and also the platic bottles. Water the seedlings so that the soil will be moist and will help to remove the seedlings easily.

On the seed box, look for some bigger size seedlings which are better to grow. Slowly, using a trowel cultivate the soil but try to avoid damaging some of those seedlings. Once done make a two inch deep hole on the plastic bottle and you are going to transplant it.

Put one seedlings per plastic bottle. If the plastic bottles are quite big then you can put two or three depends upon on the size.
Then cover it with some soil. Do it for more seedlings. Then apply water after.

5. Watering it everyday

Well the pechay vegetables need more water in order for it to grow well. But we advice to water it once a day. Do watering early in the morning with a maximum amount of water.

Why only once a day? Well it will help to prevent bacterias and diseases on the soil that will probably destroy and damage the plants. There are some bacterias that grow well when the soil are moist so to prevent it water the plant once a day early in the morning.

But incase when the temperature is too hot and you see that the soil are dry then you can water it twice a day. You can use sprinkler to do it.

6. Harvesting of vegetables

Well this vegetable is super easy to grow. This will takes about 30 days before you can start harvesting. You need just to uproot it and done.

But if you want some bigger size vegetables, try to extend if for 35 to 40 days as it will be in it's full growth with some crispyness taste.
